New Cyanotype workshops by Kyano Studio
This weekend marked an important moment for us.
After years of thinking about creating workshops, and after receiving so many messages from those of you who were curious to learn more about our process, we finally took the step. Kyano’s very first cyanotype workshops became a reality.
It’s hard to fully express how enriching this experience was for us. Sharing what we’ve built over time, opening up our practice, and spending a full weekend exploring cyanotype together felt both meaningful and deeply natural. These moments of exchange, experimentation, and focus are something we’ve been wanting to create for a long time.
New Cyanotype technique
During these workshops, we introduced participants to the New Cyanotype technique developed by Mike Ware. It’s the process we have been using since the very beginning of Kyano, and it’s thanks to this particular recipe that we are able to achieve such deep, rich blue hues in our prints.

We are incredibly grateful to all the participants who trusted us for this first session, and to Charles for guiding the workshop with such care and generosity. Your presence, your curiosity, and your engagement made this experience what it was.
We also want to warmly thank Les Trois Bains for the invitation and for giving us the opportunity to bring this project to life in their space. It truly means a lot to us to be part of this environment.
This first workshop felt like a beginning. A first step, a kind of crash test that confirms our desire to continue and develop this side of Kyano.
More to come, very soon.
With gratitude,
Dora & Charles
